Assistant Manager, Food Service, Full-Time

Full Time POSITION: Assistant Manager in Food Prep / Customer Service     

LOCATION: Jeannie’s Kitchen – Inside U-Stop #32 –  73rd & Pine Lake Road, Lincoln, NE

SHIFT:  Flexible Schedule Mornings, afternoons and evenings. All days and some weekends

REPORTS TO: Jeannie’s Kitchen – Quick Service Restaurant Manager

STARTING RATE: $15.25/hour. PLUS $1.00/hour differential for hours worked between 11 pm – 7 am.

HOURS/WEEK:  Full Time 36 hours/week on average.

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To serve customer needs and wants at all times in a professional, courteous manner which results in a satisfied repeat customer.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for running the shift, in the absence of the manager.
  2. Training new employees
  3. Workplace safety
  4. Outstanding customer service
  5. Cleanliness, housekeeping
  6. Setting up and maintaining displays
  7. Safeguarding cash and stock
  8. Accurate shift reports
  9. Stocking merchandise
  10. 8. Pricing merchandise
  11. Aggressive replenishing of supplies
  12. Store maintenance, keeping it clean and ready for guests

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Report prepared and ready for work at scheduled time.
  2. Cheerfully greet each customer.
  3. Record all sales promptly and accurately, as per company standards.
  4. Maintain daily a clean, attractive store, inside and out, throughout all weather conditions by completing all shift duties as listed.
  5. Complete shift checkout sheet accurately, neatly, and timely, as per company standards.
  6. Properly receive all merchandise by scanning in or checking as directed.
  7. Prepare and handle food and beverage items in accordance with health regulations and that meet or exceed company standards.
  8. Minimize controllable store expenses by following company guidelines involving the handling of spoilage, breakage, and items that are for store use.
  9. Practice suggestive selling. .
  10. Reduce theft loss and shrinkage by following company policies and procedures and by practicing honesty in the workplace.
  11. Complete all other store tasks and activities as assigned by the store manager in a prompt, cooperative and accurate manner.
  12. Must be able to lift, pull, push and/or move up to 35 pounds in stocking and merchandising of store inventory, standing up to a full eight (8) hour shift, necessary standing, stooping, climbing, and bending to stock and inventory merchandise.
  13. Enforce all company standards, policies and guidelines.
